Frequently asked questions
A few of the things people often wonder about before getting in touch. If your question isn't answered here, please feel free to reach out — no question is too small.
What is counselling or psychotherapy?
Counselling or psychotherapy is a form of talk therapy which involves you exploring your issues with a non-judgemental therapist, committed to supporting you. Through discussion, your therapist can help you cope with distressing feelings and emotions, help you to gain self-awareness, and change behavioural patterns which may contribute to your symptoms.
What kind of issues are dealt with in therapy?
Therapy can help with a wide range of issues, including:
How long does a session last, and how often does therapy take place?
Sessions are 50 minutes long, and therapy is most effective when it takes place weekly.
Is online therapy an option?
Definitely. Online therapy works the same as in-person therapy, but it takes place on a secure online platform.
How does online therapy work?
I will set up an online counselling appointment for a pre-agreed time. In the case of a video call, this will usually involve me emailing an invitation link to you that you then click on to "join meeting". Once the counselling session starts, everything will be much the same as a regular in-person session.
What are the fees for a therapy session?
Fees are €85 per 50-minute session.
Still have a question?
